39 Weeks

Baby Girl probably weighs around 7 or 8 lbs...Yikes!
How far along?  39 weeks
Total weight gain:  32lbs
Maternity clothes:  I've given up... I'm just naked all the time.  If i have to go out I'm sure I fit right in with my track pants and belly hanging out like the old drunken men that walk the streets of downtown.
Stretch marks: No and No! I'm determined to salvage the last few drops of bio oil that I have left.
Sleep: Not sleeping good at all... last night I set the record and got up to use the bathroom 12 times!...that's right 12 whole times! it's hard enough to roll myself out of bed one time... I'm a very unpleasant woman right now.
Best moment this week: Accepting that my sweet little babe will come when she's ready.  Not that this waiting is getting any easier, but at least now that I've accepted that she is maximum 3 weeks away at very very most, I'm just going with it and trying to keep comfortable.
Movement: Lots still.  I can tell she is very cramped though.
Cravings: Gatorade 24/7
Anything making you queasy? no
Gender: Girl
Labour Signs: My days are full of Braxton Hicks contractions, After last week I never thought I'd want to feel the pain of real contractions again but I'm actually hoping they turn into the fun kind every time now!
Symptoms: Discomfort... just an overall LARGE feeling. ha :)
Belly button: Still flat
Emotions:  Very Excited and Anxious!
Excited for:  Sharing Baby Girl's name with everyone.  It's been a long 9 months of pestering and I'm sooo sooo ready to spill it!

38 Weeks

How far along?  38 weeks... 10 days today till my due date!
Total weight gain:  30lbs
Maternity clothes:  Nothing fits! not even my maternity clothes...but I refuse to buy anything new until it's something cute once i get my old body back.
Stretch marks: Still nothing :)
Sleep: Sleeping okay with lots of pillows in the right places.
Best moment this week: Going into labour... 2 days ago I was in the beginning stages of early labour...dilated to 3cm and experiencing some VERY intense contractions...since then things have slowed down..so, now we wait.  :S
Movement: Still tonnes of movement... she doesn't even stop when I'm all contracted.. I think she's already competitive like her dad.  She just pushes right back against the contractions.
Cravings: None... not much of an appetite lately.  Just very thirsty.  (for beer)
Anything making you queasy? YES.. labour pains.
Gender: Girl
Labour Signs: Intense back and groin pain, contractions every minute, lasting about 40 seconds long.... and then out of nowhere it decides to just stop and let me carry on with my day.
Symptoms: Pain and discomfort... I know it will all totally be worth it :)
Belly button: Still flat... I wonder how it will ever go back to normal.
Emotions:  Excited!! Baby girl could be here any day now.  Can't wait to meet her.
Excited for:  My water to break!

37 Week Update

I have been completely MIA from this blog for about a month now since we've been insanely busy doing some really awesome stuff...like...
  • Moving into our new home with the help of some really awesome people
  • 2 Baby showers in one day thanks to my amazing family and best girls
  • Getting my sweet babe's nursery ready ...it looks gorgeous!
  • and finishing up last minute stuff at work...I'm DONE! for a whole year :)

and the countdown is on... 20 days to Baby R's due date! YIKES!

How far along?  37 weeks... FULL TERM!!
Total weight gain:  30lbs
Maternity clothes:  I mostly just want to be naked...except not around anyone...EVER.
Stretch marks: Still nothing :)
Sleep: Sleep is super uncomfortable now...like everything else.
Best moment this week: Finishing work... I couldn't be done at a better time.
Movement: She still manages to do whatever she does that makes my belly shake like crazy...even with very little space in there.
Cravings: None... I'm just trying to eat all of the fat food that I won't be able to eat in a few weeks. Nomm
Anything making you queasy? Nothing
Gender: Girl
Labour Signs: My belly feels like it's now in one constant contraction... it just gets a little weaker every once in a while...can't be long now.
Symptoms: Feeling pretty uncomfortable and immobile.  Lots of really cute swelling and none of my socks even fit me anymore... it's really hot.
Belly button: Still flat... I wonder how it will ever go back to normal.
Emotions:  Anxious and very irritated.  I feel pretty ready to get this show on the road and get back to my normal self plus one.  (apologies all around to my insanely supportive and patient hubby)
Excited for:  My water to break.  We are completely ready to make the trek to the hospital as soon as it's time...and... to meet baby girl and introduce her by name to everyone.
